I’ve coached clients for thousands of hours, and had many clients make huge progress working with me as a coach who had not had success overcoming their anxiety and depression working with therapists or coaches in the past. I’ve helped clients who were struggling to find direction become CEOs and Directors of Development. I’ve helped a mother feeling trapped in her little room at home start a singing career. I’ve helped computer programmers deal with inner turmoil that was preventing them from getting work done. I’ve helped clients overcome procrastination and get to work on starting their own businesses.
I’m a certified life coach from Coaches Training Institute. I spent about two years with a main practice of using Internal Family Systems. IFS views the mind as a collection of parts all with their own agendas, and through counseling helps you empathize with these parts, talk to them, find out what they want, and help them achieve it in a way that helps you. I was doing this modality for awhile because I found it much more powerful than the coaching I was doing before, but I have since been able to distill what I learned from doing IFS, and have switched back to coaching, although I still use some elements of IFS in my coaching.
